Join us for a special panel discussion featuring town clerks from four Massachusetts communities as they share insights into their vital role in preserving the historical records that genealogists rely on.

Town clerks Katie Cavanaugh (East Bridgewater), Melissa McGuinness (Easton), Christina Teter (Granville), and Nancy Talbot (Ware) will discuss:

  • The scope of their responsibilities, especially as they relate to recordkeeping

  • Challenges and successes in preserving historical and vital records

  • Policies and procedures for public access to these records

  • How genealogists can make the most of town records and work collaboratively with clerk offices

This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from the custodians of some of our most essential genealogical resources. Whether you're researching your ancestors or interested in how local history is preserved, you won't want to miss this conversation.

Bring your questions — there will be time for Q&A!

This presentation is free, but registration is required!
